The Militia of Jesus Christ
The Militia of Jesus Christ is a Chivalric Order that was founded for the defense of the Church against the Albigensian Heretics by Saint Dominic and Saint Peter of Verona in the Thirteenth Century. It also counts among its patrons such luminaries of the Church Triumphant as Saint Michael, Prince of the heavenly Militia, with Saint Mary Magdalene who is both patroness of Chivalry and one of the patronesses of Preachers, with luminaries born into chivalry and knighthood like Saint Bernard, Peter of Castelnau, Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint Louis King of France and Saint Ignatius of Loyola, with knights of the spirit like Saint Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort, Saint Maximilian Kolbe, Saint Catherine of Siena, and Saint Jean D'Arc.
